Prologue
When John left the LPD three months ago to become a P.I. he never expected his girlfriend, his brother and his brother's girlfriend would want to join him but he was glad when they did.
After Michael was suspended from the hospital during that whole Tico Santi mess he decided to try his hand at forensics. He and Marcie decided to give love a second chance after she finally told that Hayes guy to go to hell.
John hired Marcie as a receptionist and told her she could keep writing her novels as long as it didn't cause her to neglect her duties.
John and Evangeline had gotten engaged right after he started his P.I. business. Evangeline kept her private practice and hire McBain Investigations to do her P.I. work. It was a great family perk.
So with the four of them in place McBain Investigations was born.
