Web of Deception Chapter 16
"You kissed Jason Quartermane!" Evangeline exclaimed, surprised by Keesha's confession.
"Keep your voice down," Keesha replied not wanting to draw attention. "I didn't kiss him, he kissed me."
"But you kissed him back and apparently enjoyed it, from the gleam in your eyes."
"Alright, I'll admit I still enjoy his kisses, but I'm still going to marry Malcolm."
"Did you tell this to Jason?" Evangeline asked.
"Yes, but he's got the crazy idea that we still belong together."
"Is he right?" Evangeline asked savoring this explosive information.
"I don't know," Keesha said confused. "After I broke up with Jason, I never thought he'd give me another chance. Now he's back in my life and though I want to do the right thing and stay true to Malcolm, I can't deny that…I still love him."
"Bingo!" Evangeline thought to herself. "Well, under the circumstances, I think you should call off the wedding."
"No, I'm not going to do that," Keesha replied.
"Damn!" Evangeline thought.
"Although I still love Jason, my future is still with Malcolm," Keesha said.
"Shouldn't you at least talk to Malcolm about your doubts?"
"Maybe, but right now, I'm going to find my fiancé and treat him to a romantic dinner. Thanks for listening to my problems Van. You've been a great friend," Keesha said giving Evangeline a hug. "See you later."
A twinge of guilt coursed through Evangeline as she thought about her plan. But she would not be deterred. She headed back to John's suite to put her plan in motion.

Keesha reached Malcolm at the office and arranged to meet him at Gia's, a popular Italian restaurant located at the top of the Meridian Towers at 9:00pm.
Keesha arrived early and was seated at table overlooking the city. As she sipped on her glass of wine enjoying the view, the familiar scent of Jason's cologne grabbed her attention.
"Hello, Jason," she said without turning around.
"How did you know it was me?" he asked taking a seat.
"I still know you're favorite scent."
"You're still my favorite scent," he whispered seductively.
Keesha couldn't help but smile at his comment. "I'm still going to marry Malcolm," she said undeterred, but enjoying the game.
"I'm not giving up," he smiled confidence glimmering in his blue eyes. "And deep down, you don't want me to."
"No comment," Keesha said trying not to smile. "But you should go before Malcolm arrives."
"Maybe I'll stay and give pretty Malcolm a run for his money," Jason teased.
"Jason, please. I don't want Malcolm seeing us together and the two of you creating a scene."
"Too late," Jason said as Malcolm headed towards the table.
"Hey baby," Malcolm said pulling Keesha into a passionate embrace. "I thought we were having dinner alone."
"We are," Keesha said signaling Jason to leave. "I don't think you've ever met Jason Quartermane, we're old friends."
"Hello," Jason said standing to shake Malcolm's hand. "I've heard so much about you."
"All good, I hope."
"Well, I'll leave the two of you alone to enjoy your evening. It was good seeing you again Keesha. Nice meeting you Malcolm," Jason lied.
"Same here," Malcolm lied as he watched Jason head to the mens room. "Will you excuse me baby, I have to go to the little boys room."

"Stay a way from Keesha," Malcolm said as Jason dried his hands.
"Excuse me," Jason replied feigning innocence.
"You heard me the first time. I didn't buy that old friends bit for one moment. I know you're Keesha's old boyfriend. I also know you didn't have the guts to fight for her five years ago. Now here you are sniffing around again. Stay away from her or I'll kick your ass. "
Although they were both in shape, Jason had no doubt he could easily take Malcolm. "You're right, but that was then and this is now," Jason calmly replied.
"Keesha's going to be my wife and there's not a damn thing you can do about it," Malcolm replied through gritted teeth as he and Jason stood nose to nose.
Jason smirked as he took in Malcolm's tough guy act. "I'll keep my distance, for now. But one way or another you're going to fuck up with Keesha. And when you do, I'll be right there to give her all the love she'll ever need," Jason said.
Malcolm laughed as Jason left. "There's no way in the world Keesha would ever leave me for that loser," he said confidently. 'From now on everything will be going my way."
