“John, is that you? What the hell is going on here McBain?” Evangeline was really confused and furious about the events going on right now. She ran to him to hug him and realized that there was something wrong with this picture. How did he know she was here? She pulled back from the hug and started hitting him feverishly in the chest.

“Okay, don’t get mad at me!” He replied with a smile across his face and grabbing her hands to stop her from hitting him.

“What’s going on John, How did I get here, How did you know I was here, who were those guys?” She said staring up into his eyes.

John took her hands and led her to the couch to take a seat. He need her to be seating for what he had to say next. He didn’t know how she was going to response.

“It is part of your surprise. I wanted to take you away, and I knew that you wouldn’t let me so I had Antonio help me kidnap you. Please tell me he didn’t hurt you? Are you mad at me?” She said nothing she just sat there in shock and disbelief.

“So let me get this straight.” She said with an attitude in her voice. And she got up from the couch and started walking around the room kind of like she does when she is cross-examining a witness on the stand in court. “ You broke into my house, threw me over your shoulder carried me down the stairs and threw me into a car. Then Antonio tied me up, gagged me, and blind folded me and drove me to New York City and left me in a hotel room. You did all of this as a surprise for what purpose John. Why on Earth would you scare me like that? I thought I was being kidnapped and had no way to let you know what was going on!” She was hot now, and he knew it. Her arms were going as they do when she gets heated up a about something.

John new he was in big trouble. His plan had not turned out like he hoped it would. He was sorry that he ever even considered doing this. He had to make it up big time. Luckily he had something even more exciting up his sleeve.

“Okay, okay when you put it together like that it doesn’t sound like the smartest thing I have ever done. But it was done out of love.” He tried to look pitiful by looking at her with his head down and looking up at her from his position on the couch. “Evangeline I am sorry if I sacred you. I just know you better than you think I do. I know you would not want to leave Llanview right now, so I thought this up.” He stood up from the couch and walked towards her.

She was standing staring out the window. She saw him coming up behind her and moved just out of his range. She didn’t want him touching her right now. She was too furious at him right now. When he saw her move away from him he sat back down on the arm of the couch and just stared at her.

“John McBain, what am I going to do with you? I cannot believe that you did all of this” she was starting to realize his motivation behind his actions. They were not always the best but she knew he loved her with all of his heart.

“Happy Anniversary!” He said trying to get her to forgive him.

She turned to face him and had a smirk across her face. “Happy Anniversary that is all you have to say?” She stepped closer to him “I hope you plan on making this a good anniversary, especially after what you put me through.”

“Ohh, just wait Hun, you have no idea what your in for.” He said grabbing her hand and stroking it.

“And what am I in for?”

She smiled at him and stepped even closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her a closer still. “Are we okay?” He asked cautiously?

“Well, let’s just say if you want to get on my good side again you better have something spectacular up your sleeve.”

“Spectacular ehy? Ohh just wait and see, just wait and see.” He leaned n and kissed her on the lips. At first she resisted then of course she gave into him. She couldn’t resist those lips no matter what he did.

He stood up and asked if she was ready to go. “John where are we going?”

“Okay there are some rules for this weekend okay?”

“Okay?”

“You are not aloud to ask any questions. Just go with the flow of things this weekend. Whatever happens just know that I love you and always will love you. The last rule, you have to trust me, you think you can handle that?” He said smiling at her.

“Umm, I guess I will have to huh?” She smiled at him.

“Good then, lets go.” He grabbed her hand and they walked hand and hand to the elevator. He pushed the down button and then the lobby button of the hotel. He smiled at her and pulled her in front of him and wrapped his hands around her waist. He nuzzled his head in the crick of her neck and laid several kisses against her neck. The door opened up and he led her out of the elevator.

They walked to the front of the hotel and the doorman opened the door and a limo was waiting out front for them.

“John, a limo? What is going on?”

“What did I tell you? Trust me.” He helped her into the car and closed the door. The car started and they drove off. In the car there was champagne and orange juice waiting for them.

“I would like to make a toast” John said handing Evangeline a glass and raising it up in the air. “To the most amazingly caring, compassionate, intelligent, beautiful and not to mention sexy as hell woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing inside and out. You are my life, and my reason for living Evangeline Williams.” John smiled as he made Evangeline blush. They clinked their glass and took a sip of the drink.

The car stopped and they got out. Evangeline gasped at where they had stopped and gotten out at.
