Chapter 8
John quietly walked into the store which had been abandoned for about
3 months,with his weapon drawn and ready to use if he needed too.
He walked through the store until he reached the meatlocker.The door
was standing wide open with a note on it.
McBain we knew you would eventually catch on to Miss Williamson's
clue so we had no choie but to move her.
When he finished reading the note his phone rang.
"McBain."
"Are you ready to cooperate yet?"
"Yes just please let Evangeline go she's an innocent party."
"When we get what we want she will be returned to you unharmed."
"Fine tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it."
"It's very simple deliver Monique Desmond and The Blue Orchid diamond
to us and we give you Miss Williamson.If you fail to do so or you try
to double cross us your fiancee and baby die."
"Can I speak to Evangeline?"
"Tomorrow."
"No,please let me hear her voice."
"Alright,you have 1 minute."
"John,I want to come home."
"I know Vangie soon I promise.I once told you don't you give up on me
we're worth fighting for and I really need you to believe that now.I
love you Evangeline Williamson and I will get you back."
"I love you too John."
"And the line went silent again."
