Chapter 27
After two weeks, Malcolm was still reeling from the news of Keesha's marriage to Jason Quartermane. His numerous attempts to contact her had failed due to Jason and Victor's interference.
Since that time, his life had started to spiral out of control. Due to the unwarranted publicity of his affair with Lorraine and the accidental shooting, his father decided to give the CEO position at Winters Communication to his older brother Neil. Despite the fact that they had been estranged for the past two years. Malcolm would never forget the look of disappointment on his father's face.
Although he wasn't broke by any stretch of the imagination, his golden boy image had been tarnished. It would be a long time before he was back in his family's good graces.
Smashing the glass of orange juice against the wall, Malcolm looked at his reflection in the mirror. "This is Lorraine's fault," he yelled. "She's made a fool of me for the last time. That bitch is going to pay, if it's the last thing I do."

"Welcome home Mrs. Quartermane," Jason said carrying Keesha across the threshold and into the livingroom of their new home.
"Oh Jason, it's beautiful," Keesha beamed looking around the mansion. "It's just like the house we talked about building five years ago, even down to the marble fireplace. Of course it's three times as big, but…I just can't believe it."
"I guess somewhere it my subconscious mind, I always believed we'd get back together. I was looking through some old books one day and found the old floor plan. The rest as they say is history," he smiled.
Keesha was enjoying her newfound happiness, when the sound of Lorraine's voice from the foyer dampened the mood.
"I want to see my daughter!" Lorraine demanded bypassing the butler.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Jason said in a rage of fury blocking her way. "If you don't leave right now, I'll personally toss you out on your ass!"
"I need to see my daughter. I know I can make things right," she said ignoring Jason's threat.
"The only way you can make things right, is to stay out of our lives."
"Jason…let her in," Keesha calmly replied. "Why don't you leave us alone.
"I don't think that's a good idea."
Don't worry, I'll be fine," Keesha said giving him a hug for reassurance.
"Are you sure?" Jason asked not trusting Lorraine's motives.
"Yes, I'm sure."
Lorraine rushed passed Jason hoping to finally embrace her little girl. "Oh Keesha it seems like an eternity since I saw you," she cried.
"Don't touch me," Keesha said in a harsh tone that cut Lorraine to the core.
She tried to speak, but Keesha cut her off. "There is nothing you could ever say that would justify what you've done, Lorraine. Do you know what type of woman fucks her daughter's finance? A whore!"
"I deserve that," Lorraine cried. "I know what I did was wrong, but I truly thought it was the only way….
The sting of Keesha's slap stunned Lorraine into silence. "You listen to me very carefully, because I'm only going to say this once. I will never forgive you or Malcolm. As far as I'm concerned you no longer exist."
"I don't blame you for hating me," she said as her heart was breaking. "But I need to tell you about Victor."
Lorraine tried to back away, as Keesha pinned her against the French Doors. "There's nothing you can tell me about Victor that I don't already know," she said with pure contempt."
A chill ran down Lorraine's spine as her daughter's brown eyes revealed the truth. "You know, don't you?" she whispered.
"Yes, Vera," Keesha smiled confidently. "My father told me everything!"
