Chapter 25

"Why would you want the man your fucking near our daughter, Vera?"

"What did call me?" Lorraine whispered trying not to loose her balance.

"V-E-R-A, Vera Jackson! That's your real name isn't it, my love?" Victor replied with a wicked grin. "Oh, I forgot that was supposed to be a secret wasn't it? But then you're very good at secrets, aren't you Vera?"

Lorraine slowly sat on the bed trying to catch her breath. "How…how long have you known," she asked.

Victor stared intensely at his wife, savoring in the bombshell he was about to drop. "I've always known!"

"What!" Lorraine stated, shocked by her husband's admission.

"Baby…I know all your secrets," he whispered in a sinister tone that sent chills up her spine. "Especially the one you've been denying all these years."

"I don't know what you're talking about," she shouted trying to mask her fear.

"So, I guess the name Sherry Palmer doesn't mean anything to you?" A look of pure evil twinkled in his eyes, as Lorraine tried to run from the room, but Victor blocked her way.

"No…no you couldn't know that," she cried backing away from him.

"Poor greedy Sherry. If only she hadn't tried to blackmail you," he said shaking his head.

Lorraine felt the walls closing in on her. "This can't be happening," she kept repeating to herself.

"But, I know the biggest secret of all," he said harshly. The one you've denied all these years."

"Get away from me!" Lorraine cried covering her ears. "You're crazy!"

Victor stood behind Lorraine, taunting her with secrets from the past, refusing to let her get away. "David figured it out, didn't he Lorraine?"

"No.. No.," Lorraine screamed trying not to remember.

"David knew the truth," Victor sneered. "He knew Keesha wasn't his daughter."

Lorraine lunged at Victor in a hysterical rage, "Shut up!" She shouted over and over pounding on his chest.

Victor grabbed her hands pinning her down on the bed. "He just didn't now she was mine," he smiled.

"Noooo," Lorraine cried as everything went black.

Malcolm returned to the hospital before the 9:00 am visiting hours. Using his charm, be convinced the nurse on duty to let him see Keesha. "I'm sure we'll be able to get everything resolved."

As he stepped off the elevator to Keesha's floor, he saw Jason exiting her room. "What the hell are you doing here?" he demanded. "I told you to stay away from Keesha. She's not your girlfriend anymore."

"You're right, she's not my girlfriend," Jason smiled. "She's my wife!"
