Web of Deception Chapter 5
Victor returned from the stables, after taking his usual morning ride. After a quick shower, he dressed in a pair of khaki beige slacks and white polo shirt, which complemented his lean muscular build and golden tan.
As he descended the winding staircase, the wonderful aroma of bacon and eggs filled his senses. The vision of Lorraine in a white form fitting summer dress, preparing breakfast for her man definitely aroused his sexual desires.
Lorraine could feel the heat of Victor's stare as she turned to greet her man. "Good morning, baby," she smiled giving him a sensual kiss.
"Good morning, my love." Victor looked at the full course breakfast, which consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, homemade biscuits and blueberry muffins, cheese grits, fresh fruit, coffee and fresh squeezed juice.
"Sit down and let me feed my man," Lorraine cooed.
"What did I do to deserve such royal treatment?" Victor wondered. I have a feeling this has to do with my questions about Malcolm, he thought.
"Baby, you took care of mama last night! The least I can do is take care of you this morning."
Lorraine was telling the truth about Victor's sexual performance last night. He worked it real good. She got hot just thinking about it. Damn! They should have made a video, to add to their special collection.
She also hoped this display of appreciation would distract him from their conversation about Malcolm. If Victor ever found out about their affair, he would surely file for divorce.
Although she knew, being married to Victor for ten years would provide her with some type of comfortable settlement, the thought of giving up her present lifestyle for anything less, was the same as being poor.
The vivid memories of living in poverty still haunted her after all these years. She was determined to never go through that experience again.
On the surface, Lorraine was the picture of elegance and sophistication. People were drawn to beauty and charm. She sat on the board of several well-known charitable foundations. She was known for her profitable fundraising galas for minority students and historical black colleges.
But underneath was a woman who stopped at nothing to get what she wanted. Even murder!
